🧐 How to Use Notion Forms to Manage SolarPunk Meeting Agendas Like a Pro
SolarPunk Management Agenda #0: Unlock your Notion Forms superpowers to transform how you manage meeting agendas.
Introduction
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve completely redefined how one person businesses can manage their daily tasks with oS3’s SolarPunk Management Platform in Notion. It’s never been this easy for us to help entrepreneurs manage their personal tasks.
This is great for lone wolves, but this falls apart the second we have to meet with other people…
Practical Problem
Notion’s linked databases provide an amazing tool for us managing our tasks for various projects we work on, but whenever we have to organize a meeting, our process in Notion falls apart. Notion isn’t familiar to everyone, so we’ve been using Google Docs to organize meetings and outline our collaborative tasks.
This has created some problems for us…
😵💫 Zero Clarity: We’re managing project plans in Notion and meetings in Google Docs. We have zero clarity on what our ideal workflow is.
🥸 Limited Focus: This lack of clarity makes it a lot harder for us to focus on the work that we need to execute, because we’re constantly switching back and forth between tools with no sense of direction.
😴 Poor Productivity: Our limited focus results in poor productivity, because we end up spending way more time and energy preparing for meetings and consolidating open tasks from Google Docs into action items within Notion.
🤖 No Creativity: With all our time being sucked up in our unproductive workflow, we have no energy to get creative about our vision for the SolarPunk Meetings that we create with oS3.
So what’s our Simple Solution?
Simple Solution
This week, Notion launched Notion Forms: a new feature that we’ll use to solve SolarPunk Startups manage meetings and project plans.
We’ll be rolling this feature out over the next three weeks so we don’t get overwhelmed. First, we’re using Notion Forms to transform how One Person Businesses manage meeting agendas in three steps:
Publish Substack Agenda to pitch the µProject
Build v0.00 of Notion Forms for SolarPunk Agendas
Broadcast a demo of the process to ourStory’s Weekly Debrief
How will these steps help one person businesses, public parks, project managers, and farmers?
Benefits:
Project Managers who use oS3 will to add so much more value to their clients when they start using Notion Forms to bridge the gap between Meeting Management and Project Management. Here’s how:
😍 Clarify Your Purpose: By default Platform Managers in oS3 have a purpose to make managing projects more fun for One Person Businesses who want to become SolarPunk Startups. When you start using Notion Forms, you will have a simple, structured way to enter data so agendas are more streamlined and efficient than ever.
🔬 Increase Your Focus: Stop putting together agendas in Google Docs, emailing them to the team, then linking the file to Notion. Start publishing directly to Substack and submitting the link to Notion through a form. A process flow so focused you don’t even have to think about it.
⏲️ Improve Your Productivity: We’re working through the kinks now and doing this all by hand, but in the future, you’ll be able to publish a meeting agenda in 15 minutes or less with our automated workflows so you can spend more time doing what matters.
🎨 Unlock Your Creativity: When your agendas are more focused and productive, you’ll have time to make them more creative and engaging for people on your team. When your agendas are more engaging, more people will want to join your open source ecosystem so your one person business can thrive.
How will mycoOperations test this in the real world?
Opportunity
mycoOperations is working within the Management Consulting Market — projected to be valued at $811.3B by 2031 with a CAGR of 10.2% from 2022 to 2031 — and sees a large opportunity for creating an ongoing experiment that explores how one person businesses, public parks, project managers, and farmers can help make SolarPunk Cities a reality.
SolarPunk Cities are impossible without SolarPunk Startups, so ourStory and mycoOperations are partnering with Healthy Intentions to create an experiment that transforms how we manage projects with an Intentional Calendar, making Healthy Intentions ourStory’s Management focused SolarPunk Startup. We will be creating physical calendars that help people plan their personal development, and these Notion Form enabled agendas will be a digital tool to make their physical calendars even more effective.
With a Management focused SolarPunk Startup in place, we’ll then see how we can apply these lessons learned at the scale of a city. mycoOperations identified Chicago FarmWorks by Heartland Alliance as our experimental case study for how we can transform Chicago into the planet’s first SolarPunk City.
